Last week, we facilitated our conference on #OrganizationalDevelopment in the non-profit sector. Over two days, we have heard from a variety of experts, including Beth Fredrick, Althea Anderson, Natasha Salifyanji Kaoma, Allison Doody and many others about their approaches in strengthening organizations in the international development context! A special thanks goes to our moderators Martina Kloepfer and Timo Fuchs. Organizing a virtual conference with about 100 participants from 5 continents has been a great challenge - but we mastered it, Cornelia R. and Eva Herrmann! Congratulations to you both - I am so lucky and grateful I had the chance to work with you so closely during my final days with DSW.
Supporting organizations on their way to professional development has been the essence of my professional focus and passion for the past 13 years. Having started with DSW in 2008, I was mainly in charge of our international advocacy programs, focusing on capacity development of partner organizations. At that time, great colleagues such as Sonja Bruning, Caroline Jane Kent, Karen E. Hoehn and Matthias Brucker have contributed a lot to my professional growth. After some years in that area, I transitioned to leading the International #BusinessDevelopment unit and worked with a great team, including Andrew Pavao, Anna Dahlman, Nigus Simane who helped me grow as a leader as well. The last few years with DSW I managed our flagship program on organizational development of youth-led organizations in East Africa, and had the privilege to work with so many passionate people, among them Miriam Riechers, Sarah Ansel, Greta Theilen, George Ouma, Daudi Tano, Chale Sammy, Cornelia R., and Eva Herrmann who always supported me and the high ambitions we had for this project.
It is now time to move on - a long-awaited project will be realized! Together with another expert in strategy consulting, I will be founding a #consulting firm with a focus on #Diversity and #NewWork in organizations. I am really looking forward to this new challenge and the positive changes we will bring about in companies through our work!
Please get in touch if you would like to hear more about these plans.
